About the owner - Trey Sadler

My name is Trey Sadler and I started Green Collar Lawns here in OKC because I saw an opportunity to provide a way for Oklahomans to lower their carbon footprint without changing a thing in their day to day lives. I’ve always loved the great outdoors and wanted to help preserve it for generations to come. When I considered the fumes, carbon pollution, and chemical runoff that could all be avoided with electric lawn care, I knew I had to get to work.

Oklahoma today is a far cry from it’s dusty reputation of old. Its a lush and sprawling land with more rivers, lakes, and streams than you can count. Growing up here it’s no surprise I fell in love with the outdoors. That’s why Green Collar Lawns’ mission is to provide a better lawn care option, one that this beautiful state deserves.

We live and grew up right here and have spent a long time working with Oklahoma lawns and their clay rich soils. We are always on-time, friendly, and committed to providing you the highest quality of service. We work to clean up our wonderful states air and waterways for all the dogs, cats, birds, bees, and people to enjoy.

Electric vs. gas - the green collar difference

Gas powered lawn equipment is mostly powered by 2-stroke engines. They are easy to build and maintain but burn a combination of oil and gas. They emit over 6 times as many hydrocarbons as a comparable 4-stroke engine. This equipment not only pollutes the air through its emissions, but gas leaks, spills, and other contaminants can leach into the water table or runoff into a nearby creek or stream.

Electric powered lawn equipment takes the oil and the burn right out of the equation. No gas cans that can spill on to your lawn or oil that can leak onto your pavement. By going electric with your lawn care you can cut out the carbon emissions, the chemical runoff, and the noise. Now that’s a difference.
